‘Around’ 100 Americans Left In Afghanistan, Klain Says

Politico:

The administration is “hopeful that in the coming days the Qataris will be able to resume air service out of Kabul. If they do, we’re obviously going to look to see if Americans can be part of those flights,” he said, referring to the nation of Qatar.

Klain also said that the administration, which ended the U.S. military presence in Afghanistan, is “in close communication with our sources and our contacts in Afghanistan to try to get [Afghan] SIVs out safely,” following reports that the majority of applicants for Special Immigrant Visas have been left behind and that some have been targeted by the Taliban.

The Biden Administration admits that they abandoned a hundred US citizens in their deliberately-botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. Meanwhile, “Veteran-led rescue groups,” with no incentive to lie about it, say the administration is lying.

According to Texas Congressman Michael McCaul, we are officially in the hostage negotiation phase of the crisis:

“In fact, we have six airplanes at (Mazar-i-Sharif International Airport) with American citizens on them as I speak, also with these interpreters, and the Taliban is holding them hostage for demands,” McCaul said during an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”

McCaul, the top ranking Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee, also said he received a “classified” exact number of Americans who are still left in Afghanistan, claiming the number is “in the hundreds.”

As the Biden Administration continues working overtime to obscure the reality of the situation, time to rescue the abandoned may be running out.
