…56 percent of Ukrainians . . . would agree to a “compromise” to end Europe’s bloodiest armed conflict since 1945, according to a survey released on Thursday by the Janus Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts and the SOCIS Center for Social and Marketing Research, both Kyiv-based pollsters.
The “compromise” means that Kyiv would have to agree to Russia’s de facto control of almost a fifth of Ukraine’s territory.
As the Russians launch their summer offensive, the Ukrainians want out of Project Ukraine.
President Donald Trump issued blistering remarks in response to Iran’s Supreme Leader claiming victory over Israel and, by extension, the U.S. In a loaded public message, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had also threatened to attack more U.S. Military bases, further splintering the Middle Eastern country’s relationship with the U.S.
“Look, you’re a man of great faith. A man who’s highly respected in his country. You have to tell the truth. You got beat to hell,” Trump said as he addressed the Iranian Supreme Leader during a White House press conference on Friday. Trump was asked by a reporter if the U.S. would consider bombing Iran again, if intelligence reports were to conclude that Iran could enrich uranium to a level that concerns him. “Sure, without question, absolutely,” he replied.
President Trump’s frustration grows. Of course Iran won. Of course President Trump lost. When you start a war, fail to achieve your stated goals, and then declare a ceasefire, you lose. The Islamic Republic and its nuclear program survived our idiotic attack: we lost.
But we did successfully drive Iran’s nuclear program completely underground and free of any oversight:

The Republican-led U.S. Senate rejected a Democratic-led bid on Friday to block President Donald Trump from using further military force against Iran, hours after the president said he would consider more bombing.
The Senate vote was 53 to 47 against a war powers resolution that would have required congressional approval for more hostilities against Iran. The vote was along party lines, except Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman voted no, with Republicans, and Kentucky Republican Rand Paul voted yes, with Democrats.
I just hope, very sincerely, as a Christian and as an American, that when these idiots try to start the next round of Operation Iranian Freedom, the Islamic Republic will have already acquired nuclear weapons.
“We have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing,” Trump told reporters on the White House lawn before departing to meet with NATO allies in the Netherlands.

The U.N. Security Council met on Sunday to discuss U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites as Russia, China and Pakistan proposed the 15-member body adopt a resolution calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in the Middle East.
“The bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities by the United States marks a perilous turn,” U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told the Security Council on Sunday. “We must act – immediately and decisively – to halt the fighting and return to serious, sustained negotiations on the Iran nuclear programme.”

Despite talk of peace, the war is stepping up with Russian forces grabbing more territory in Ukraine and Kyiv unfurling high-profile drone and sabotage attacks on Russia’s nuclear-capable bomber fleet and, according to Moscow, on railways.

Sen. Lindsey Graham has pledged that his expansive sanctions bill would be “bone crushing” for the Russian economy.
But if enacted, the South Carolina Republican’s proposal to impose 500 percent tariffs on any country that buys Russian energy would effectively cut the U.S. off from some of the world’s largest economies — including allies in Europe.
We already know that all of the idiotic sanctions packages that the Globalist-run West has lobbed against Russia have only backfired against Western economies. We have been watching this play out for years. Europe is rapidly de-industrializing, and Russia only grows stronger.

A second round of direct peace talks between Russia and Ukraine have ended without a major breakthrough, and only a deal to swap more prisoners of war.
Ukrainian negotiators said Russia had again rejected an “unconditional ceasefire” – a key demand by Kyiv and its allies in Europe and the US – but the two committed to return the bodies of 12,000 soldiers.
The Russian team said it had proposed a two- or three-day truce “in certain areas” of the vast front line, but gave no further details.
At Monday’s talks, which were held in the Turkish city of Istanbul and lasted just over an hour, the two sides did agree to exchange all sick and heavily wounded prisoners of war, as well those aged under 25.
We knew that a general ceasefire would not result; it is the fact that the two sides are communicating that is most important. A prisoner exchange is positive. There is still hope that this stupid war can be brought to an end before we get every last Ukrainian killed.
More than 40 aircraft, including the Tu-95 and Tu-22 M3 long-range bombers capable of deploying conventional and nuclear weapons as well as the A-50, are reported to have been damaged in the operation on Sunday, an official in Ukraine’s Security Service said on condition of anonymity as the details are not public.
The Allies are doing everything they can to derail the peace talks, including a direct attack on Russia’s strategic nuclear capabilities, which the Russians may choose to interpret as a nuclear attack, in and of itself. Luckily for all of humanity, the Russians are way too intelligent to be baited into an overreaction by these idiots who run the US/EU/NATO axis of evil.

The Truman Carrier Strike Group had been deployed for nearly nine months, operating primarily in the Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East in support of joint operations, regional security, and freedom of navigation missions. The deployment was originally scheduled for six months but was extended due to shifting global security dynamics and heightened tensions in the region.
When I originally started this blog, I was a crewmember stationed onboard the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). I have written here before about our exploits, when we were the finest ship and crew in the fleet.
