Psychedelic Pseconds
Fifteen years ago today, Rock’s first supergroup reunited at the Royal Albert Hall for the first time since their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993–which was the first time they reunited since their Farewell Concert at the Royal Albert Hall in 1968. For this month’s installment of Psychedelic Pseconds, we have a double helping with a 1968 performance of “Sunshine of Your Love” and a 2005 performance of “Badge,” by Cream.
Bassist Jack Bruce died from liver disease in 2014. Drummer Ginger Baker died in 2019 after a long struggle with heart and lung diseases. Guitarist Eric Clapton seems to be doing fine.
