Gonzo Journalist Dustin Reed Terry Versus Sean Buckner Transparency: The Saga Continues

Gonzo Journalist Dustin Reed Terry‘s personal vendetta against Sean Buckner Transparency took an interesting turn this week, as the former somehow managed to land an exclusive interview with President Joe Paul Simon of the Vian school board. The interview, regarding sensitive matters on which President Simon perhaps should not have spoken on the record, served as Dustin’s response to the ongoing coverage by Buckner and his close associate Ron Durbin regarding questionable hiring practices in Vian Public Schools. The immediate controversy generated by the stunt led Dustin to shut down the entire Facebook account on which he had published the interview.

For a solid week now, there has been no activity at Public Crime. All questions regarding the American Hero Project remain unanswered. Since Buckner discovered that Dustin Reed Terry is actually Dustin Demoss of Sallisaw, details are beginning to emerge regarding yet another possible investment scam in Dustin’s past.

An October 14, 2013 News On 6 article states that one of “Oklahoma’s own is raising funds to make a feature film about a young veteran’s struggle with mental illness.” It all started one day when Jonathan Looper randomly got a call from his long-lost childhood friend, Dustin Demoss.

Looper said DeMoss opened up to him about being diagnosed with schizophrenia–this after leaving the Air Force to come home and care for his mother, who was battling ovarian cancer. When his friend said he wished he were a writer, so he could share his experience to help others, Looper, who was working on his master’s degree at Georgetown University, got the idea to make a short film.

According to Looper, Dustin continued his involvement throughout the production of the short movie, which was then immediately used as an investment vehicle for a feature-length Dustin Demoss biopic titled Light Wounds. Looper “started an Indiegogo campaign to raise money for the production” with the goal “to raise $107,000” and “to start filming in early 2014.”

Sources say that the production team created a website in late 2013, on which they continued soliciting donations while offering a rosy outlook for completion by winter of 2014. A major distribution deal was announced that summer, and the production team proudly announced that the Dustin Demoss biopic would be directed by one Max Leonida.

However, that artist’s IMDB page mentions nothing of the Dustin Demoss biopic, and the IMDB page for the Dustin Demoss biopic still lists the movie in a status of “pre-production.” Sources say the website was unceremoniously shut down in late 2014.

How involved was Dustin Reed Terry/Demoss in the soliciting of funds for his own feature-length biopic, Light Wounds? How involved was he with its production team? Was any part of the movie ever produced? What amount of money was raised for its production, and where did all of the money go? Who financed the original short movie? Did Dustin finance the entire scheme with leftover funds from the American Hero Project in the immediate aftermath of the AHP’s collapse? Did Dustin ever truly wish to see his life story in feature-length movie format, or was this an investment scam from the start?

A Stolen Valor Standoff in Sequoyah County

Local citizen-journalist, US Air Force veteran, and US Senate candidate Sean Buckner of Sean Buckner Transparency recently found himself in the crosshairs of another journalist, with accusations of stolen valor, in an ongoing saga which has yielded some truly bizarre layers.

For the last year, self-described “Gonzo Journalist” Dustin Reed Terry and his cohorts at The Cold Cases have explored unsolved mysteries “that slipped through the cracks of mainstream attention but are no less deserving of answers.” Earlier this month, his team announced a membership drive in conjunction with the release of exclusive information regarding the death of Kurt Cobain. As explained in a press release to the Alachua Chronicle:

TheColdCases.com, a leading destination for investigative cold case research and analysis, will release an exclusive handwriting analysis of Kurt Cobain’s suicide note on April 4, 2026 at 9:00 p.m. ET — the eve of the 32nd anniversary of his death on April 5, 1994.

It is perhaps because his article was not met with the expected fanfare that, almost immediately upon its publication, Dustin Reed Terry found his career skipping toward an entirely new trajectory. Yet another reason for Terry’s sudden new mission may be the fact that the evening of April 4 is when the Oklahoma Department of Corrections released the unredacted video of an incident involving Sean Buckner and his close associate Ron Durbin of Guerilla Publishing. In the video, Durbin can be heard making remarks which have been widely criticized as racist.

Little more than an hour following the video’s release, on another one of his Facebook profiles, Dustin Reed Terry announced that he had purchased the domain public crime dot com, and that he would now be investigating “white collar and political crime.”

Ten hours later, Dustin Reed Terry announced the release of his first installment in a series of AI-generated Public Crime articles denouncing the collective activities of Rob Durbin and Sean Buckner, titled “The Troubling Trail of Ron Durbin and Sean Buckner Across Oklahoma.”

The article treated Sean Buckner lightly, focusing mostly on Dustin Reed Terry’s perceived personal and professional flaws of Ron Durbin. However, now that Terry had definitively linked Buckner to Durbin, Terry quickly revealed in subsequent articles that his main objective was to end the US Senate candidacy of Buckner. On April 7, Terry published a direct message sent to him by Buckner, in which Buckner offered Terry his private phone number and an opportunity for Terry to correct the record before Buckner files suit. Terry, confident in his work, flatly rejected the offer.

Buckner responded that night by explaining away Terry’s accusations, and vowing to investigate Terry himself:

You chose to publish this. You chose not to correct it. Now you get to deal with the consequences.

Now, Let me look into your life. My understanding is that you have been in and out of Mental Institutions throughout your life and your mom used to have total control of your finances through a conservatorship. Your Request for me to look into Ron Lockhart didn’t go unnoticed as you wanted me to investigate your relative. I will begin a full in-depth dive into you soon.

however, I don’t use AI. I use contacts that know you personally and have probably grown up with you. Pay attention things are going to get real.

The next morning, Buckner published a direct message sent to him by Terry, in which Terry revealed that, in addition to the fact that he has “been in mental institutions,” he has also starred in pornographic videos. Buckner at once called the whole thing off, promising not to sue or engage Terry any further.

Two hours later, Terry responded by announcing that he had been contacted by an attorney who claimed that it was Terry who could sue Buckner for discussing Terry’s mental health “while running as a U.S. Senate candidate.”

Terry continued producing articles and social media posts, as well as photoshopped images, personally and professionally attacking Buckner, while portraying himself as a champion against corruption. On the morning of April 10, Terry announced that he would be going on hiatus from The Cold Cases in order to pursue his agenda against Buckner, whom Terry decried as “a cult leader that is terrorizing Oklahoma.” A few minutes later, Terry posted his latest Public Crime article, in which he called into question Buckner’s military service, and called upon Buckner to release his military records. For the next few days, Terry continued making his accusations against Buckner on social media, before producing yet another Public Crime article on April 13 declaring that “Senate Candidate Sean Buckner is Allegedly a Stolen Valor Candidate.”

At first, Buckner laughed it off. Then he released his DD214 showing that he is in fact an honorably discharged veteran. Then he released various other records, soundly debunking any and all claims that he had committed the crime of stolen valor.

It quickly became evident that Terry simply did not understand the process of retrieving public records. Although he had made a request for a veteran’s records, the National Personnel Records Center could not find any records of the veteran for whom Terry made the request. However, that did not mean Buckner never served in the military or committed stolen valor. It simply meant that Terry had botched the request and then misinterpreted the NPRC’s response. The next morning, Buckner posted a public comment in which Terry remarked that “Getting my 15 minutes of fame with Sean was a strategic business decision. Nothing more, nothing less.” Terry further stated in the image that “Controversy is a business. I am just a businessman. And Sean is a supplier of business.” Addressing Terry’s confession, Buckner wrote:

Folks, there is a lawsuit that’s going to be filed after the election process. Making claims that I stole valor as a US Senate candidate and denouncing my military service while writing long articles about it for profit is Libel. When a candidate is running for US Senate, you might want to get some facts strait. Thank you dustin, this is going to be an easy one.

Less than an hour later, Terry posted his latest Public Crime article, in which he retracted his reporting on Buckner’s military service “until further notice.”

Terry did not, however, end his feud against Buckner. That night, he explained the reason why he began targeting Buckner in the first place: Buckner reminded Terry of someone from Roland whom Terry used to know. The person in question had allegedly stalked and harassed Terry to the point that Terry nearly committed suicide. Although Buckner had done nothing of the sort, Terry made it clear that Buckner now stood as a replacement adversary for the unnamed person from Roland. Terry vowed that he “will not back down from this fight.”

The following morning, Terry officially announced that he was indeed backing down, by “moving on from this Buckner thing” to run his newest entrepreneurial endeavor at debited dot org.

In yet another post an hour later, Terry announced that he had officially transferred ownership of The Cold Cases to investigator Taya Whitney Brown, and that he “will be shutting down PublicCrime.com as I close that chapter of my journey.” Later that afternoon, Buckner posted that he had been “asked to look into an organization calling itself the American Hero Project.” Buckner revealed that the organization had been founded in 2012, by Dustin Demoss and Clint Davis, who “solicited donations under the claim of supporting military families but may have failed to distribute those funds as promised.” Buckner further stated that the charity collapsed when “questions arose regarding Clint Davis’s military record.” Buckner also revealed that the AHP founder Dustin Demoss is none other than Gonzo Jornalist Dustin Reed Terry.

Buckner then posted a YouTube video of Dustin speaking about his military service before an audience, and soliciting donations on behalf of the AHP in 2013. Buckner reiterated his understanding that AHP co-founder “Clint Davis was known to exaggerate his military rank, experience,” and commendations. Buckner also wrote that if “anyone had contributed to this cause please reach out. I will try to help you get your money back.”

Dustin responded by denying that he had scammed anyone out of money with the AHP. However, he completely failed to explain what actually did happen. Did Dustin knowingly send out as his co-founder and sidekick a notorious military service embellisher?

It is important to remember that the Stolen Valor Act of 2005 was struck down as unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court in 2012 as an infringement upon the First Amendment right to free speech. Until that time, the simple act of military service embellishment was a crime. Throughout the first half of 2013, a new Stolen Valor Act raced through the US Congress, signed into law that June, which outlaws military service embellishment for profit. Phonies could still legally lie about their military service, under the new law, but they could not do so in exchange for compensation. Did the AHP rely upon that brief period of legal stolen valor to build its presence upon a foundation of lies? Did the AHP run afoul of either law at any time?

On April 16, Dustin issued a warning, threatening to expose any source or informant to Buckner on the matter. A couple of hours later, Dustin exposed one alleged Buckner source as “C.D. (Clint’s Brother),” however, he offered no evidence for the charge. The next day, Dustin announced that he is resuming his feud with Buckner because “artificial intelligence analysis of the DD214 Sean Buckner posted publicly has assessed the probability of it being legitimate at under five percent.”

Dustin created yet another Facebook profile, and he has proceeded to attack Buckner in dozens of subsequent posts, many of which can be described as “unhinged.” Buckner has not yet reported back on the matter. In addition to what actually did happen to the AHP, many questions remain. Who is the person that almost drove Dustin to the point of suicide? For what actual reason does Dustin conflate that person with Buckner? Will Dustin retract his attacks upon the military service of Buckner once and for all?

As the area’s preeminent military blogger, I will keep up with this story as it unfolds–and see what I can dig up on my own.

Pentagon Prepares For Weeks Of Ground Operations In Iran

The Washington Post:

The Pentagon is preparing for weeks of ground operations in Iran, U.S. officials said, as thousands of American soldiers and Marines arrive in the Middle East for what could become a dangerous new phase of the war should President Donald Trump choose to escalate.

One month into the unprovoked, anti-Constitutional war of regime change into which POTUS very stupidly lied us against Iran, everything is going precisely how one might have expected. The failure of our dumb strategy has been laid bare, and we are out of ammo. In order to escalate himself out of a strategic defeat of his own making, POTUS is going to send our best troops to their death. The unnecessary invasion will be a disastrous failure which will only benefit our enemies, most notably the Zionist colony in Palestine, which owns the ass of POTUS. But do not worry, his real estate deals and possible insider oil trading are going great for his family, none of whom will ever serve in the US military.

Not only are the Zionists themselves using our unprovoked war against Iran as cover to further prosecute their genocide in Gaza and a land-grab in Lebanon, but Yemen has now joined the fray.

Yemen’s Houthis have attacked Israel for the first time, a month after US and Israeli forces began striking Iran, opening up a new front in a rapidly escalating conflict that has killed thousands of people, displaced millions and rattled the global economy.

After starting and losing wars against both Iran and Yemen in 2025, POTUS may want to hold off on declaring war against Yemen in 2026 until after he is done begging Iran for mercy.

Iran: Mass Rallies Held In Support Of New Supreme Leader

Deutsche Welle:

Iranian state media said hundreds of thousands went out in support of Mojtaba Khamenei, nine days after his father’s killing by an Israeli airstrike.

POTUS is desperate for a way out of the unprovoked war of regime change for Zionist expansionism which he idiotically lied us into against Iran. The Iranian government, with its nuclear program, remain intact. The Iranian government continues executing a coordinated and effective rocket and drone campaign against the aggressors. We are losing, we are running out of ammo, and our troops are dying in order to advance and/or defend zero actual American interests.

‘MAGA Is Trump’: President Fires Back At Right-Wing Mutiny Over Iran

The Washington Post:

Some of the loudest conservative voices online say attacking Iran doesn’t fit with the president’s “America First” agenda.

The last time POTUS lied us into an unprovoked war of regime change for the cause of Zionist expansion against Iran, I wrote that “Trump seems to believe that MAGA was only ever a personality cult centered around himself. He seems to believe that his supporters are for some reason obligated to play along, to simply pretend, that his failed initiatives are great successes.” Now it is confirmed that he believes himself to be at the helm of a personality cult.

MAGA was only ever a viable political movement insofar as it embraced America First. Trump campaigned for POTUS as Captain America and now he is possessed by the ghost of John McCain. He has thoroughly abandoned and betrayed America First. MAGA is dead, and he killed it himself.

Iran Security Chief Ali Larijani Rejects U.S. Talks, Blames Trump For ‘Chaos’

CNBC Africa:

The U.S.–Israel conflict with Iran has entered its third day, with loud blasts heard in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and Tehran’s security chief saying that negotiations with Washington were off the table.

Iranian state media reported more than 200 people were killed in Iran, while the U.S. has confirmed three American service members have died and five seriously wounded. President Donald Trump has warned of further American casualties and said the conflict could last up to four weeks.

Trump also said Iran’s new leadership was looking to resume negotiations, without specifying any details. Iran’s security chief Ali Larijani, however, rejected those claims, saying Tehran had no plans to engage in talks with the U.S.

The death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has left Iran in a sensitive leadership transition, with a temporary council, including senior cleric Ayatollah Alireza Arafi and President Masoud Pezeshkian, assuming control.

The last time I blogged about Iran, I noted that “the entire world knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that President Trump can never be trusted and uses negotiations as cover for further unprovoked aggression on behalf of his Zionist masters.”

I hoped it would not happen, but considering the military buildup in the region, it is not surprising that President Trump was stupid enough, yet again, to use diplomatic talks as a cover to start another unprovoked, unnecessary, unjustifiable, and anti-Constitutional war of regime change against Iran on behalf of his Israeli handlers.

The last time he did this, it took him almost two weeks to beg the Iranians for a ceasefire. This time, it only took him three days. Iran says no; they will just keep destroying all of our bases in the region.

We do not have the munitions to keep this up very long and our desperation is already showing.

Trump-Iran Latest: US President Hopeful Of Tehran Deal Even As Khamenei Warns Of ‘Regional War’

Independent:

Donald Trump said he hoped to reach a deal with Iran even as tensions escalated after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that any US attack would trigger a “regional war”.

“We are not the ones who start a war and we do not want to attack any country,” Iran’s supreme leader said, according to state media. “But if America attacks or harms Iran, the Iranian nation will deliver a strong blow, and any war started by America will spread across the region.”

President Trump–who very idiotically spiked the Iran nuclear negotiations less than a year ago in order to start an unprovoked war of regime change against Iran, which he very stupidly lost–is hopeful that his threats of starting another unprovoked war of regime change against Iran will cause the Iranians to negotiate a nuclear deal. Now that the entire world knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that President Trump can never be trusted and uses negotiations as cover for further unprovoked aggression on behalf of his Zionist masters, President Trump has high hopes.

What a dumbass.

It really looks like this idiot missed his window. It looked like his dumb “energy truce” with Russia was intended to free us up for Operation Iranian Freedom II, but now that is over. With the trilateral negotiations between Russia, the US, and the puppet government we have imposed in Kiev set to resume this week in Abu Dhabi, would Donald Trump be stupid enough to ignite a major regional war?

Trump Briefed On Intelligence Saying Iran’s Government Is Weaker

New York Times:

President Trump has received multiple U.S. intelligence reports indicating that the Iranian government’s position is weakening, according to several people familiar with the information.

The reports signal that the Iranian government’s hold on power is at its weakest point since the shah was overthrown in the 1979 revolution.

In other words, President Trump’s Zionist handlers are lying him into starting yet another war for Israel against Iran.

I do not know if the MAGA folks are still pretending like last year’s dumb lost war was some sort of success, but they may never know how stupid they sound by insisting that a carrier group is an “armada.” Iran is three times the size of Iraq and we had the latter swarmed with half a dozen carrier groups to topple Saddam.

Of course, the only question that matters is, as usual: will Donald Trump be stupid enough to go through with this?

Trump Says U.S. Oversight Of Venezuela Could Last For Years

The New York Times:

President Trump said on Wednesday evening that he expected the United States would be running Venezuela and extracting oil from its huge reserves for years, and insisted that the interim government of the country — all former loyalists to the now-imprisoned Nicolás Maduro — is “giving us everything that we feel is necessary.”

There is nothing American, conservative, or necessary about the Trump Administration’s ongoing war against Venezuela, or their idiotic intelligence operation to kidnap Venezuela’s head of state. We are supposed to believe the Feds, of The Crack Epidemic fame, when they insist that Maduro is the leader of a drug cartel. Obviously, our intel services worked some sort of drug deal with someone on the inside of the Venezuelan state for the safe delivery of Maduro. But we left the Venezuelan state intact. And it is unclear to what extent that state will allow the Trump Administration to dictate its policies.

I hate socialism just as much as the next guy, but I am an American, so I do not care about Venezuela. The Feds could control our borders, if they were truly concerned about the Venezuelans. And we have our own oil.

This is yet another stunning example of President Trump betraying the values upon which he campaigned, in order to advance the Neocon global war agenda. He is also apparently trying to link up this conflict with the ongoing plots to provoke Russia into an open state of war. We can take Venezuela’s oil to deprive it from China, but if “Russia is running out of money,” Russia may now be getting all the money they need from China.

President Trump has also, very stupidly, given us yet another conflict in which China and Russia could help bog us down.

Ringin’ It In

Another year, another blog post. There have not been many lately, due partly to the fact that the headlines never really change. Donald Trump is still the Zionist cuck candidate from Epstein Island, now carrying water for the same CIA/Mossad Deep State establishment from which he promised to free us. He dutifully keeps trying to escalate the conflict with Russia, and he has once again maneuvered us to the brink of war with Iran; with what appears to be a classic color revolution afoot.

But I am still here. I do not know if I will try to find more time to blog going forward, but I have considered reverting to a more local news type format and skipping the foreign policy altogether. It is just hard to get away from keeping up with the play-by-play of the US Deep State global war agenda. It is like my college football.

Happy new year!

US To Provide Intel To Guide Ukrainian Long-Range Missile Attacks On Russia

Financial Times:

The US will provide Ukraine with new intelligence to help guide long-range missile and drone strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure, a move that marks an escalation in Washington’s role in the war.

Yet another stupid escalation by the dumb Neocon Trump Administration. We knew this was coming. And we know that it will not change the fact that Russia won this war as soon as we started it.

Trump Admin Has Been Quietly Pushing To Retake Afghan Base From The Taliban For Months, Sources Say

CNN:

President Donald Trump has been quietly pushing his national security officials for months to find a way to get Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan back from the Taliban, three people familiar with the matter told CNN.

Trump hinted at those discussions publicly for the first time on Thursday, telling reporters that his administration is working to regain control of the base, which lies an hour north of Kabul. The Taliban took it over following the collapse of the Afghan government and the US military withdrawal in 2021.

Wow, that is stupid. A few years ago, when I wrote that those “who call for us to re-invade and re-occupy [Afghanistan] must be ignored,” I had no idea that the first actual proponent of such idiocy would be Donald Trump, who negotiated our departure from Afghanistan in the first place.
