President Trump is doubling down on the administration’s claim that U.S. military strikes “completely destroyed” Iran’s three nuclear sites last month, pushing back against a new assessment reportedly showing that only one of the three facilities was wrecked.
“All three nuclear sites in Iran were completely destroyed and/or OBLITERATED. It would take years to bring them back into service and, if Iran wanted to do so, they would be much better off starting anew, in three different locations, prior to those sites being obliterated, should they decide to do so,” Trump said in a Saturday morning post on Truth Social.
Trump seems to believe that MAGA was only ever a personality cult centered around himself. He seems to believe that his supporters are for some reason obligated to play along, to simply pretend, that his failed initiatives are great successes. Operation Iranian Freedom was a total defeat for us. We started a war, we stated our objectives, we made our demands, we failed to achieve our objectives, the Iranians did not give into our demands, and then we begged them for a ceasefire.
The “obliteration” of Iran’s nuclear program is no different than his cover-up of the Israeli Epstein sex pervert blackmail operation to politically capture the US government; Trump simply expects the Americans to play along, out of loyalty to himself.
But MAGA was never about Donald Trump.
