Flags were set at the graves of veterans Thursday at Fort Smith National Cemetery in preparation for the Memorial Day weekend.
A ceremony will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29 at the cemetery.
People in Fort Smith will gather at the National Cemetery to honor fallen members of the military, and Clay Quinalty will speak about his time as a guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Volunteers are expected to put out about 19,000 flags at the cemetery for Memorial Day.
