A flood warning for Lee Creek near Van Buren has been issued for Thursday for Sebastian and Crawford counties, the National Weather Service reports.
The warning is for Thursday evening through Saturday morning.
Minor flooding is expected in low-lying areas along the Arkansas River shoreline from Lavaca to Interstate 540. The rive is expected to crest above flood level.
Rain should end Thursday evening in the Fort Smith area and sunny skies are in the forecast for Friday and Saturday.
