Temperatures could dip to near 34 degrees in Fort Smith overnight, the National Weather Service reports.
Some outdoor crops and plants in containers could be threatened if not covered.
A freeze warning is in effect for northeastern and northwestern Arkansas where temperatures early Thursday will be near or below freezing
The frost advisory is for 1 a.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Skies will be clear with winds shifting from the north to the southeast Thursday with a high of 71 degrees.
