Case Update: Arkansas COVID-19 Case Increase By 4,637 Tuesday

New COVID-19 cases in Arkansas increased by 4,637 on Tuesday, according to the Arkansas Department of Health.

Hospitalizations were down by four, bringing the total number of patients hospitalized in the state to 1,711.

State officials also announced 39 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in the state as a result of the pandemic to 9,667.

There are currently 242 patients on ventilators statewide, down eight from the previous day.

There are 57,392 cases of COVID-19 considered active in the state, which includes those that have tested positive by both PCR and antigen testing methods. That number is down from the almost 90,000 active cases reported last Tuesday.
