In Fort Smith, the street department spent the day pre-treating some potential trouble spots.
“Everything is on standby and ready to go at a moment’s notice, just like always,” Travis Cooper, director of Sebastian County Emergency Management, told 40/29 News.
In Sebastian County, trucks are equipped with new blades to help clear county roads if any snow starts to accumulate.
“Make yourself visible as they’ll be visible and be cautious as you drive past, slow down and just be courteous,” Cooper said.
