I first heard “No Good to Cry” by the Wildweeds on the radio when I was stationed in Connecticut in 2005. I immediately thought it was a cover of “Ain’t No Good to Cry,” by a band called the Hour Glass, which was an early manifestation of the Allman Brothers Band, and I was mistaken. Both versions are great, but here is the Yankee (original) version:
