The demonstrations drew a diverse crowd, who for hours on Sunday afternoon and evening chanted and waved signs at motorists who passed by. Only one person, who Fort Smith police spokesperson Aric Mitchell questioned his motive for showing up to the afternoon protest, was arrested after he allegedly showed a knife.
Other than that incident, the protesters were generally pleased with the two demonstrations.
It looks like a fairly straight-forward case of murder. Hopefully everyone remains peaceful before and after the trial.
